Up 550am: Frigid with gusty winds and temps to mid teens- wind chills below zero. The coldest day of the season...so far. 

Paid Visa- (including the car insurance which is pending: $355).

***735am- I ate one gummy: 20 THC and a lot of CBD.  

Watched 'BEAU IS AFRAID' (Hoopla). An Absurdist tale about the insanely out-of-control life of a middle aged man with 'Mommy Issues'. The opening setting is a cityscape of 'madness & murder & mayhem' and from that chaos it gets even worse. I haven't laughed this hard at a film in ages; with Joaquin Phoenix, Patti LuPone, Amy Ryan, Nathan Lane, and Parker Posey. "63" Metascore.

1130am: PC is 'Off'

1205pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched 'ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST' (Netflix).

Finished 'THE WINDCHIME LEGACY by  A.W.MYKEL.

450pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; more of THEO VON on TIGER BELLY. 

545pm:  In the tub to begin 'REDEMPTION' by DAVID BALDACCI and listening to JACK BRUCE- 'A Retrospective'; SPOOKY TOOTH- 'A Retrospective'.

Finished THEO VON on Tiger Belly.

More 'CIGARETTE GIRL' (Netflix). I shut it down at 1hr and 1 minute into episode #4. I should be able to complete the series tomorrow.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
