Watched 'BLACK ISLAND' (Netflix). A mysterious high school teacher takes a job at a private school on an island in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park and begins an affair with one of her students.  Many years before, the student's grandfather had an affair with a local woman and the teacher was his secret 'love child'. The teacher wants revenge for the grandfather's abandonment of her mother and mayhem ensues. Soapy hogwash and very corny, but a nice German island location. Filmed in Amrum which is one of the North Frisian Islands on the German North Sea coast. It's just south of the German border with Denmark.

Watched 'HANS ZIMMER: Hollywood Rebel' (Netflix: 52").  Hollywood's premiere composer and I had never heard of the guy.  Born in Germany in 1957 he was the first composer to wed traditional symphonic orchestrations to the new 'computer' sounds. His first film was 'My Beautiful Laundrette' (Stephen Frears) and he has done the scores for a truly remarkable number of blockbusters- an eye opening documentary. 

1210pm: The plan is to do the weights and then walk Washington Park. Then, read for a while and then mow the lawn.

540pm: In the tub with 'BEAUTIFUL SHADOW' and listening to KING CRIMSON- 'Live Vienna'; XTC- 'Drums & Wires; ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND- 'Where It All Begins'; 'SEA LEVEL' Playlist.

Finished NEAL BRENNAN on 'Are You Garbage?' and began CHEECH & CHONG on 'Something's Burning'. 

More 'ANTHRACITE' (Netflix). I shut it down 37 minutes into episode #3. I had forgotten where the series was set- in the French Alps near Lyon, on the border with Switzerland and Italy.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
