Up 555am: Cloudy with temps to about 70. Another inch of rain fell last night and that's over five inches in the last two days. 

***Problems with Hoopla. I had trouble logging on and when I finally got into the site, I couldn't borrow a film, however Kanopy was open for business.

Watched 'THE ROUNDUP: No Way Out' (Kanopy). A Korean cop drama that was fairly humorous and although I had to watch it dubbed in English, it was still well worth a look. A quirky, 'ex-boxer/detective' hunts for missing drugs, mixes it up with Yakuza soldiers in Seoul, and unmasks a crooked narcotics detective. I learned on IMDB that the film is part of the 'action comedy franchise' around 'Ma Suk Do; Played by Ma Seok-do who is also a personal trainer of mixed martial artists.

Noticed a 'Bonus Borrow' on Hoopla. I think that this is new and you can borrow these titles and it doesn't count against your 'seven per month'. I borrowed 'LOVING HIGHSMITH' ('Bonus Borrow'), 'SPEAK NO EVIL', and 'MONOLITH' from Hoopla. They finally got the site working again. I learned that sometimes they do maintenance on the site early in the morning.

Watched 'LOVING HIGHSMITH' (Hoopla- 'Bonus Borrow').  This was a nice complement to 'BEAUTIFUL SHADOW' by Andrew Wilson that I'm reading. Many of the photos in the book are in the film and many more interesting videos of her houses, family, and friends.   

I tracked down the plumbing outfit  {Tom's Plumbing-  217-525-8688} that I called to have the hot water heater drained and the battery changed on the sump pump. 

I spent time on the phone with Rexx and then Tom's Plumbing. The plumbers will be here on Thursday, May 2nd between 8am and 10am and I will have the correct replacement battery from Rexx....I hope. 

Wrote a brief 'Chat'. 

105pm: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to hit the treadmill and then drive over to Rexx. [Didn't happen. Tomorrow is another day]

*** Around 1pm I noticed workmen at the old lady's place next door. She is going to have the gazebo replaced?  Later I talked to one of the guys and they are installing a wooden security fence. Her dogs have been getting out.

140pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK' with a Brazilian comic.

Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps. 

Called Epperson: I learned that I made $85,000 in 2023 so I'm not eligible for the low income real estate adjustment. 

445pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began TUCKER CARLSON on J.R.E. 

540pm: In the tub with 'THE DARK HOURS' and listening to LITTLE FEAT- 'Time Loves A Hero'; JOHN MAYALL Playlist; CANNED HEAT Playlist.

Began 'THE ASUNTA CASE' (Netflix). I shut it down 4 minutes into episode #2. A twelve year old adopted girl from China is found dead on a rural Spanish country road. The parents are acting odd and the cops pounce. Set in Galicia, Spain which is on the border with Portugal.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
