Weekly Cleaning 

Watched 'ANNA' (Netflix). A poor yet brilliant Russian woman is given a chance to become a KGB agent. She agreed to one year of training, then four years 'in the field', followed by her freedom. They lied. There is only one way out of the KGB and that is death. Lots of nifty fight scenes and compelling car chases in Moscow, Belgrade, and Paris. The film is basically 'James Bond' if he was a female high fashion model and the actress that plays 'Anna' is from the modeling world. Directed by Luc Bessen; with Sasha Luss, Helen Mirren, Luke Evans, and Cillian Murphy. "40" Metascore.  

Began the first episode of 'UNLOCKED: A Jail Experiment' (Netflix). It's a 'Reality TV' approach to what happens when a prison warden in Arkansas introduces an 'open door' policy in the local jail. Inmates were locked in their cells for 23 hours a day and the warden hopes that more freedom in the pod will result in positive behavior.  It doesn't seem authentic. Everyone is 'acting' and not 'being' so it's hard to believe any of it. After finishing the second episode I will not be back. 

1245pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT;  began 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK'.

Reading 'BEAUTIFUL SHADOW' 

& Grinder arrived. I was reading and saw the mailman walk to the front of the house and I thought that he put the package in my mailbox. A few minutes later I checked and it wasn't in the box or on the front stoop. Fifteen minutes later I noticed that it was on the stoop. He stopped once and then came back?    

The 'Spice Grinder' works, but I'm not wild about it. 

445pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK' and began TIM DILLON on 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK'.

540pm: In the tub with 'BEAUTIFUL SHADOW' and listening to LOU REED Playlist; ROY BUCHANAN- 'Guitar On Fire'.

***Bought 'RIPLEY UNDERGROUND' & 'RIPLEY'S GAME' on Amazon Kindle for $2.99 each. I decided to save the rest of 'BEAUTIFUL SHADOW' until I've finished reading 'RIPLEY UNDERGROUND' which is the second book in the Ripley series by Patricia Highsmith.

Began 'AMERICAN CONSPIRACY: The Octopus Murders' (Netflix). I shut it down 24 minutes into episode #1. I have seen this series before {remembered very little} and I'm rewatching it because it was recommended on a podcast from this afternoon.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
