***Bose speaker bar started at 'power up'***
Up 6am: Gusty winds & wintry mix (mist?) all day with temps to about 40.
Watched 'THE WAGES OF FEAR' (Netflix). Same plot as the early fifties version, only this one is set (shot) in Morocco. An oil well is burning out of control and in need of high powered explosives to seal the flaming geyser. They have 24 hours before the pressure becomes so great that the well will detonate and destroy the adjacent village. An armed convoy with two trucks loaded with the necessary nitro drives through a hostile desert to save the day. It's got some interesting scenes involving gunplay with roving bands of enemy evil doers and the necessary nifty explosions and white knuckle driving techniques. {Subtitled: French}
Finished 'MCGREGOR FOREVER' (Netflix). The series is a flat-out valentine to McGregor, but I guess it ain't boasting if you can do it. I wonder why he has not married his girlfriend. They have four children and he is a practicing Catholic.
Watched the first episode (30") of 'FILES OF THE UNEXPLAINED' (Netflix). It's 1973 and two men are fishing and claim to be abducted by a UFO.
***Screwing around with the Chrome Equalizer. 'Uninstalled/ Reinstalled'. It doesn't seem to provide the 'kick' that it once did. Or maybe it's me.
1230pm: PC is 'Off' and it's a treadmill kinda day...Raw, cold, and blustery.
1pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; the latest TUESDAYS WITH STORIES; more of KID ROCK on THEO VON- 'THIS PAST WEEKEND'
Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps
Reading 'FRANNY & ZOOEY'
440pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began an old 'TUESDAYS WITH STORIES.
545pm: In the tub with 'FRANNY & ZOOEY' and listening to ELVIS COSTELLO- 'Punch The Clock'; WILCO- 'Kicking Television' Live; ELVIS COSTELLO- 'Get Happy'; JACK BRUCE- 'Smiles & Grins'.
Finished an old 'TUESDAYS WITH STORIES'.
More 'KALEIDOSCOPE' (Netflix). I shut it down at 41 minutes into the penultimate episode. There are so many excellent scenes and great character actors, but it is a 'kaleidoscope' of complexity. Maybe this will be 'Movie 2' tomorrow morning.
