 ***With all the thunder and lightning that we got yesterday evening, only a half inch of rain fell on Westview Drive.  

The Corvette guy across the street was mowing his front lawn at 640am. It must have been an aesthetic emergency. 

Up 550am: Mostly sunny with temps to upper 70's. 

Watched 'IRENA'S VOW' (Kanopy).  Based on a true incident: Irena Gut Opdyke was a young Polish woman who became the housekeeper for a high ranking Nazi officer and was able to hide a group of Jews in the large mansion. The film is set in Tarnopol, Poland which is on the far eastern border of the country adjacent to Belarus. From the internet:

"Tarnopol was founded in 1540 by the Polish governor, Grand Crown Hetman Jan Tarnowski. Jews settled there soon after its founding. In a privilege granted in 1550 and renewed in 1740, Jews were permitted to live in all sections of the town except the market square, and were also required to take part in town defenses." 1110am:  PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then hit Esporta. Tomorrow it's going to rain all day, so I'll be hitting the treadmill.

1210pm:  To Esporta...45"Precor,  45"Treadmill,  30"Cross,  30" Recumbent Bike,  30"Precor;  watched documentary, 'AMERICAN MAFIA: The Rise And Fall of Organized Crime in Las Vegas' (Amazon Prime)- The Mob, Howard Hughes, The Corporations; watched documentary 'BOX OF RAIN' (Amazon Prime)- It's about the followers of The Grateful Dead' and the female director who was raped by a group of high school boys that she knew. The Dead provides a family that she never had...No new ground broken.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
