***Republic picked up the trash at 905am. That's two hours earlier than usual. Maybe this explains the texts that tell you to put out the can the night before. 

Watched 'MONOLITH' (Hoopla). A woman doing a podcast in rural Australia uncovers a conspiracy about a 'black brick'. It might be a personal attempt to contact individuals from a superior force in the universe or it could be a warning from aliens that 'something bad is going to happen'. Just like yesterday's film (SPEAK NO EVIL) in that it sucked you in and never let go. I had no idea where both films were heading and they were very compelling. Lily Sullivan was nearly the only actor in the film. "61" Metascore.

From Variety: "...red herrings, a tone of suffocating gloom and a desperation to keep the audience on the hook."

More 'THE ASUNTA CASE' (Netflix). I shut it down 24 minutes into episode $4. Another provocative series.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
