Up 530am: Light rain early morning, then partly cloudy with temps to 90.

This morning I noticed that the guy next door is using the wood that he had delivered from Lowe's to build a flowerbed.  The sides are a couple of feet tall and the blonde wood looks sharp.  

Watched 'ARCHIPELAGO' (Hoopla). An English Art Film about a very rich & aristocratic  'family vacation'. Details of the story are slowly developed and you begin to realize that the family members are alienated (in a gloomy stone cottage on a rainswept island off the English coast near Land's End) and no one wants to be there. The son is going away to Africa for eleven months and it was to be a family send off, however Dad never makes it and Mom screams at him over the phone that all of them hate him.  Sister complains about the service and burns white hot with repressed rage. The film is glacially paced, but I enjoyed it. ; with Tom Hiddleston. "82" Metascore and I would bump to "90". Filmed on Isles of Scilly {owned by the English Royal Family!!} which is in the ocean 28 miles off the coast at Land's End, Cornwall, England. 

Watched 'NON NEGOTIABLE' (Netflix). A Mexican hostage negotiator becomes involved in a kidnapping where the president of Mexico and the negotiator's wife have been taken. As the situation evolves, the president agrees to only sentence the ringleader to a maximum of two years in prison if the kidnapper doesn't release a politically lethal video where the president admits to all of his high crimes and misdemeanors. Kind of a light thriller or a somewhat thoughtful comedy and just barely worth a look.

1210pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to hit the treadmill. My right ankle seems in fine shape and tomorrow I'll hit Planet Fitness. It seems that a walk on the sidewalk is much more taxing on the extremities than the machines.

1235pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched a complete 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK'.

345pm: I set up the new Walla speaker. Pairing was a snap.

More 'WOMEN OF THE NIGHT' (Netflix). I shut it down 32 minutes into episode #9. I can finish the series tomorrow morning, although I know that there will be plenty of loose ends and probably another season is in the works.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
