Up 530am: Partly cloudy and much cooler with temps only to about 80.  Yesterday evening the radar map forecast a very fierce storm to hit around 9pm. The map colors were bright orange to blood red, but this storm completely missed 940. Almost 2 inches in the rain gauge this morning.  

Watched 'FERRARI' (Kanopy). A profile of Enzo Ferrari that highlights his hard driving & dictatorial management style and the relationship between his mistress, his wife, and his illegitimate son.  The film is always engaging and one spectacular car crash that was like nothing I have seen before.  A race car blows a front tire, flips into the air and takes off the top of a telephone pole, and then crashes into a crowd of spectators; with Adam Driver, Penelope Cruz, and Shailene Woodley. Directed by Michael Mann. Nominated for 1 BAFTA; 6 wins & 39 nominations. "73" Metascore and about as high as I would go.  'The Mille Miglia' (Thousand Miles)- An Italian open-road, motorsport endurance race established in 1927. This is the 1957 race that is featured in the film where the unbelievable car crash occurs.

Watched I AM A KILLER: 'Friendly Fire' (Netflix: 45"). A young man kills an old man in Red Lodge, Montana. He claims it was an accident, but he didn't tell police, he hid the body, and was also found with several thousand dollars in cash that probably belonged to the old man. He's doing 30 years without possibility of parole, yet still maintains his innocence.  

***At 1045am I was in the kitchen and the music stopped. I was completely offline and I had to manually start the wifi by pushing the 'On/ Off' button.  It asked for a pin number or I could manually start. I don't know why or what caused the outage. I also had to restart the sound bar and I was back up and running in a few minutes.

*** Later I noticed on the Ting app that there had been a power outage in the area and power was restored at 11am. 

1130am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then a walk to Washington Park. I might do the grocery shopping when I get back.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
