Up 520am: Partly cloudy & humid with temps close to 90. Extensive rain moves in early tomorrow morning and we had a fierce cloud burst this afternoon around 2pm.

Watched 'COME OUT AND PLAY' (Hoopla). A couple visit a remote island off the coast of southeastern Mexico. When they arrive they find that the place is vacant. Soon they find the village children have been on a murderous rampage and killed all of the adults and soon they become targets. It's kind of a silly premise that almost becomes camp..."And, if you see anyone, just scream"..."44" Metascore and I would rate it only slightly higher. From Los Angeles Times: "A one-man band known as Makinov — he wrote, directed, produced, shot, edited and ran sound here — has done a pretty decent job in the chills department using a simple story, small cast and largely contained location." Filmed on Isla Holbox which is an island on the far southeast tip of Mexico near Cancun.

Finished 'WOMEN OF THE NIGHT' (Netflix). Strange, but there is no second season in the works.

1055am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then hit Planet Fitness a little earlier than usual.

It might have been noteworthy had she stuck with her first impression; watched an episode of 'I AM A STALKER' (Netflix)- A woman in Duncanville, TX is stalked by a minister.

Began 'BORGEN: Power & Glory' (Netflix). It's about Danish political intrigue. A huge field of oil is discovered in Greenland. The Danes run Greenland and they are solidly behind 'Clean Energy' and even though they would make a bundle of money, the environment would suffer. What to do? I shut it down after episode #1 and it's a stylish and well written series. Eight episodes will be a piece of cake.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
