Watched 'REBEL RIDGE' (Netflix). Filmed in Leesville, LA. A man is biking to a courthouse to post bond for his cousin. He's wearing earbuds and isn't aware that a cop is trying to pull him over. It's a corrupt police force and they take his money and charge him with multiple count felonies. In an average film, he would violently and immediately get his revenge, but in this movie it's much more thoughtful and drawn out, yet still very exciting. I really liked this one; with Aaron Pierre, Emory Cohen, and Don Johnson. "79" Metascore.  

Finished 'CAUGHT IN THE WEB:  The Murders Behind Zona Divas' (Netflix). A weak series about a number of murders in the Mexican sex trade industry. I guess it was one man who was a major figure in the cartel's sex business and he was extorting the girls for quick cash. Some of sex workers tried to stiff him, so he murdered them. The police did little because the department was working with the cartel's sex trafficking operation. 

Began 'BETWEEN LANDS' (Netflix). I shut it down 14 minutes into episode #1 and I'll continue this series tonight.  Filmed in southern Spain near Gibraltar at Andalusia, Malaga, and Almeria.

1150am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then walk Washington Park and then east to Fairhills to buy more 'emergency candles'.

545pm: In the tub to begin 'CAUGHT' by HARLAN COBEN and listening to ERIC DOLPHY Playlist; ROLLING STONES- 'Some Girls' Deluxe.

Finished MARK NORMAN on 'Sword Fight'.

More 'BETWEEN LANDS' (Netflix). Beautiful setting and it stars an actor that has been in the last two Spanish series that I've watched. I shut it down 5 minutes into episode #2.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
