Up 610am: A mix of sun & clouds with temps to upper 80's. 

***The bathroom remodeling crew arrived at 7am sharp, and then 2 left at 715am. and the third remained to do the work. 

Watched 'MISSING' (Netflix). A young Japanese couple's lives are turned upside down when their seven year old daughter is kidnapped. The film is not a 'who dunnit', but charts the family's emotional disintegration. Each person deals with overwhelming shame and guilt over their unwitting participation in the incident. Mom blames herself because she was at a concert and the socially awkward uncle was the last to see the girl and he feels responsible because he didn't walk her the last 300 meters to her home. You never learn what really happened, but what emerges is a realistic portrait of a family experiencing unrelenting grief and despair. I really liked the film and it expressed an unusual point of view.    

More of 'WOMEN OF THE NIGHT' (Netflix). I shut it down 15 minutes into episode #4.

1150am: Because my right ankle is still sore I decided to run errands and then hit the treadmill (maybe) late this afternoon. The plan is to do the weights, head to the credit union for  $125, spend it at the pot store on the south edge of town (1pm pickup), and then back to County Market for the grocery shopping.

***When I was at the checkout at County Market, Ashley, (from the local passport office? office of vital records? County Clerk?) came over to me and said that when I get my passport I should come into the office and they would resend the photos and paperwork. I have already paid. I don't know if I would have done this. I thought the feds were keeping all of my paperwork and that would include the photos that I had taken in June.

Finished BILL BURR on 'Anniewood' and began ANDREW SANTINO on 'Bein' Ian'.

More 'WOMEN OF THE NIGHT' (Netflix). I shut it down 25 minutes into episode #5. It's starting to gel, but it's still hard to believe that the guy working in the mayor's office would be clueless about his wife's involvement in the escort business. Did he really think that she was just a successful event planner?

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
