Watched 'THE MASTER' (Hoopla). {I also borrowed 'JIMI: All Is By My Side' on Kanopy for tomorrow morning}. A profile of an alcoholic and neurotic man who becomes involved with a wily conman who hoodwinks the desperate with tales of 'past lives' and 'ancient traumas'.  The cult leader is not necessarily the insane one and his inner circle seem to have an even greater need to go farther into the 'woozy metaphysical'. Great chemistry between 'The Master' and Freddy Quell; with Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, Jesse Plemons. Nominated for 3 Oscars; 75 wins & 187 nominations. "86" Metascore and that's about where I'd put it although I'm surprised that it was rated this high.

***I switched out and added new album art to the living room. Incense is marking the walls & interior painting will be necessary in the future. 

More 'WE WERE KINGS' (Netflix). I shut it down 7 minutes into the final episode. I'll finish the series tomorrow morning, and tonight I'll begin another foreign series.

Began 'MONSIEUR SPADE' (Netflix). Clive Owen is perfect as Sam Spade. Spade has left San Francisco and relocated to northern France. Set in Bazuel, France which is in the northern part of the country near the border with Belgium.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
