Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'THE QUARRY' (Amazon Prime). A man on his way to become a pastor at a rural church finds a man by the side of the road. He picks him up and later tries to 'convert' the stranger, but the stranger thinks he is making a sexual advance. The passenger becomes enraged and kills the pastor and assumes his identity. He develops a Christian following among the locals at the chapel, but the local sheriff smells a rat; with Shea Whigham, Michael Shannon. It's a remake of a South African film that sounds even more interesting. In this version the murdered pastor is gay and the assassin becomes one of the town's most respected citizens. The novel, 'THE QUARRY' was written by Damon Galgut. "53" Metascore and I would have gone to "65".  

The movie was shot in New Orleans and west of the city in Garyville, Louisiana... "quarry: an animal or person that is being hunted or chased."

More 'HELLBOUND' (Netflix). I finished episode #3 and there are only six in the series. I don't have a clear idea of what is going on but I think that god is allowing demons to notify bad humans that their time is up. The demons beat the unlucky human to death and then burn them to ash. The theory is that this is God's way of forcing humanity to pay him more respect.  If this is true, then God is an asshole. However, the demons are kind of neat and look like angry & menacing eight foot tall gorillas.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'.
