I watched a two minute short film called 'SLEEPOVER MOM' (INDIEFLIX)- A Mom hosts a sleepover for a couple of her son's elementary school friends. In the morning she's telling them that she was up late last night because she learned that her husband was cheating on her.  He took mom to the woman's house  so that he could end the affair. The woman is distraught and jumps down a flight of stairs and breaks her neck. Then she tells her son and his friends that they buried the dead woman in the backyard. Mom walks away from the boys, and the kids only wonder why they are not getting pancakes for breakfast. 

Watched 'RED DRAGON' (Netflix- leaving soon). This film is based on the 1981 novel by Thomas Harris and is about Francis Dollarhyde, 'The Tooth Fairy'. Hannibal Lector is just the mentor and this is the same basic story as the movie, 'MANHUNTER'. Both films are well worth a look, but I liked 'MANHUNTER' just slightly more than 'RED DRAGON' .  When Dollarhyde (Tom Noonan) goes wild near the end of 'MANHUNTER' as 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida' by Iron Butterfly blairs in the background is one of my favorite movie scenes of all time; with Anthony Hopkins, Edward Norton, Ralph Fiennes, Harvey Keitel, Emily Watson, Mary-Louise Parker, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. 4 wins & 10 nominations. "60" Metascore and I would have gone to "77". 

Finished '1992' (Netflix). I'd rate the series a solid 'C'. It employs some pretty bad CGI when the 'Blowtorch Killer' sprays his victims, but it's still pretty effective. 

1125am: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to select a documentary on Kanopy and then do the weights and then visit Esporta.

1210pm:  To Esporta...35" Precor [and then I realized they close at 2pm and left for Planet Fitness]...45" Treadmill,  30" Bike, 45" Cross; [workout: 2 hrs 35 mins]; watched a documentary - '51 BIRCH STREET: A Family Mystery (Kanopy)- Mom dies after 50 years of marriage and within 90 days dad wed his secretary from 35 years ago. The siblings are shocked that mom & dad both had secret lives; more of ARI SHAFFIR & ROBERT KELLY in Cuba; a lousy & forgettable True Crime. 

Reading 'THE AQUITAINE PROGRESSION'

550pm: In the tub with 'THE AQUITAINE PROGRESSION' and listening to DYLAN & THE DEAD Live/ 'Blues For Allah'; LONG RYDERS- 'State Of Our Union'.

Finished YouTube biopick of 'LOWELL GEORGE: Feat First'.

Began 'MAESTRO IN BLUE' (Netflix). I shut it down 8 minutes into episode #2. This will be a pleasant change from the Police Procedurals and Crime Thrillers... "As long as we're happy, who gives a shit about anyone else?"...Set on Paxos which is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea, lying just south of Corfu.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
