Watched 'HIT MAN' (Netflix). A nerdy college professor at New Orleans University moonlights as an undercover agent for the local police. He finds that he has a genuine ability to immerse himself into the role of an astute and competent hitman for hire. Later one of his 'clients' becomes the love of his life. The premise of the film is that 'hitmen' are far more rare than we think. In reality very few people will risk a death sentence even for several thousand dollars. Directed by Richard Linklater; with Glen Powell & Adria Arjona. 2 wins & 17 nominations. "82" Metascore and that's about where I'd put it. A very clever and different approach to the subject of 'Murder For Hire'.

Began 'HER MOTHER'S KILLER' (Netflix). This will be my next foreign series and I'll save the end of 'MAESTRO IN BLUE' (Netflix) for tonight. I shut it down 29 minutes into the first episode. It's a Mexican overheated & melodramatic soap set in Mexico City. I'll give it a shot.

1110am: The plan is to do the weights and then hit Esporta for the workout. I plan to leave from there for the Xmas party at The Brandenburgs at 4pm.

I didn't get it, but 'SE7EN' it ain't; finished a CHURCH OF WHAT'S HAPPENING; began TIMOTHEE CHALAMET on THEO VON; watched an episode of 'I AM A KILLER' (Netflix)- A man killed a convenience store clerk during a robbery when he was sixteen and now he's hoping to get a chance at parole after thirty years.

Arrived right at 4pm. Jamie and family arrived in a couple of minutes and Jon's family were there at 420pm. Opened the gifts, snacked, and opened gifts. It was very organized and the kids really liked Hank's 'hover disc' and Tommy's new binoculars. I gave Janny my envelopes with $50 per family and then I forgot to pass them out. I sent her an email to remind her to handle the Xmas cash. I was home by 710pm. 

Watched more TIMOTHEE CHALAMET on THEO VON.

Finished 'MAESTRO IN BLUE' (Netflix). I finished episode #9 and didn't realize that there was a second season and I will happily continue the series tomorrow. Season #2 begins with the  'Hairy Bad Guy' floating in the sea and I think we all knew that the body would surface somehow because a rope and an anchor were never enough. Real nautical guys (or almost anyone) would have more sense than that.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
