Watched 'DETROIT' (Tubi). Directed by Kathryn Bigelow {HURT LOCKER, ZERO DARK THIRTY}. A fictionalized account of deep racism within Detroit's 'men in blue' during the turbulent late 60's. There was a trial, but the cops didn't testify and their confessions were inadmissible so there is no 'official record' of the events of that night at The Algiers Motel.  The movie shows that the 'reason' for the violence was that the officers discovered a black man with two white women; Anthony Mackie, John Krasinski, Jeremy strong. 4 wins & 21 nominations. "77" Metascore and I'd put it at "83". I had seen the film before and it was well worth a second look. 

Finished 'ASAF' (Netflix).  Asaf reunites with his family, including 'the package'. I guess the evil healthcare corporation was the main catalyst behind most of the nefarious deeds. I liked the series, but understood not quite half of the storyline and multiple & changing timelines even made it more confusing to follow. By and large, it was an overheated melodrama and I could still enjoy the show without much understanding.

Reading [began last night] GALACTIC POT-HEALER by PK DICK.

540pm: In the tub with 'GALACTIC POT-HEALER' by P.K. DICK and listening to PETER GREEN'S FLEETWOOD MAC; CLIMAX BLUES BAND- 'FM- Live'; FINE YOUNG CANNIBALS Playlist.

Began Jeff 'Skunk' Baxter on RICK BEATO.

Began 'MURDER MINDFULLY' (Netflix). The series is eight, 30" episodes and I finished episode #2. A German criminal lawyer learns to be a killer after he masters the art of 'being here now'. It's smart & cheeky and I'll continue tomorrow evening.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character.
