***7am: When I came upstairs there was a firetruck (Engine #9) in front of 940 with lights flashing. It must have had something to do with the old woman next door and the EMTs were gone in a few minutes. This is the second time that I've noticed an emergency vehicle at her house in the past few weeks. I wonder what will happen when she passes? 

Request for a 'Restart' and this morning I noticed that the red light is on the router (second from the top). This has come on before and it seems to have nothing to do with performance and I don't know or care what it means. 

Watched 'HEREDITARY' (Netflix). A decent film about demon possession or maybe it's about living with a mentally deranged personality. Grandma dies and it seems she was some kind of demon priestess and the coven was looking for a male to become 'The 8th King of Hell'. Mom seems to be the key, yet her teenage son is the real target.  1)  An interesting theme: Mom is an artist and constructs 'dollhouse' scenes of important episodes in her life.  2) An interesting scene: A thirteen year old girl (her brother is 'the anointed one') is decapitated in a traffic accident. She was having a severe allergic reaction and stuck her head out the window for more air while her brother was frantically driving her to the hospital. He sideswiped a telephone pole and his sister's head struck the pole and ripped off like a cork popping from a bottle of champagne; with Toni Collette, Gabriel Byrne, Ann Dowd. 52 wins & 113 nominations. "87" Metascore and I would back it down to "78". All scores were over "80" except one ("75" & the most accurate): 'The Film Stage'- "Aster displays proficient skill in eerie tone-setting, elaborate production design, and the type of scares that will leave a pervasive imprint on the mind, even if the underlying mythology gets over-complicated by the finale." 

More 'UNDER FIRE' (Netflix). I was going to pick something else, but I'm starting to dig it. Set in Blankenberge, Belgium (location of the firehouse) and Ostend, Belgium which is north of Bruges and along the coast.

445pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; more  SANTINO & BOBBY LEE on TIM DILLON. 

540pm: In the tub with 'TRANSCRIPTION'  and listening to JOHN ZORN- 'Simulacrum' and began 'TRANSCRIPTION'; MILES DAVIS- 'Early Albums'; MOLLY HATCHET Playlist.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
