Up 710am: I woke around 5am and was going to get up, but I guess I needed the extra rest. Mostly cloudy with temps to about 40- significantly warmer temps today but not much melting. 

***First time with Secret Nature: Cookie Bread Indica Hybrid. Nice buzz and great price. I wish their homepage focused more on 'Effects' & 'THCA' rather than taste or look. 

Watched 'DIE ALONE' (Hoopla). Post Zombie Apocalypse spliced with an Amnesia film that kinda works.  Due to a global pandemic, people become cannibals and then turn into plants. A young man wakes up and can't remember anything except that he must find his girlfriend at a remote cabin. The reveal is that the boy has been infected by the 'plant/cannibal' virus and his girlfriend has been 'feeding' him human blood and tissue for many years, but he can't remember; with Carrie-Anne Moss (looks like Demi Moore) & Douglas Smith. Nice idea and could have been so much better. 

More 'HOUND'S  HILL' (Netflix). I shut it down 11 minutes into the final episode and I'll finish the series tonight. At the beginning of episode #5 there is an animated sequence as seen through the eyes of a mentally challenged guy who is drunk and on acid. Truly a nice touch!

12pm: The PC is 'Off' and it's a treadmill afternoon.

Finished 'HOUND'S  HILL' (Netflix). The last scene shows the 'Kurt Cobain look alike' overdosed in a public bathroom. His phone went unanswered and a needle is stuck in his arm. Although he got some retribution for drugging the mentally challenged guy, I think that the guilt was too much for him . He was vindicated and took some joy in killing the last 'rapist/murderer' with a shotgun blast that knocked the man into the basement and then they burned down the house. That was a memorable series and it seems like I just can't get enough of moody foreign melodrama.

Began 'BLACK WARRANT' (Netflix). Set in Tihar which is a prison complex in New Delhi, India. I shut it down 4 minutes into the first episode and I'll be back for more tomorrow evening.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
