Up 550am: A mix of sun & clouds, breezy and temps to upper 30's- warmest day in a long time.

Scoured the Graffix

Finished 'THE BREAKTHROUGH' (Netflix). A sixteen year old Swedish cold case is solved by 'Ancestral' DNA.   In Europe there are strict laws about the sanctity of an individual's genetic record and this information is private and protected by law. I thought there would be a bigger 'reveal' in the film, but it was still a surprise.  A guy knifes two innocent people to death and doesn't commit another crime in sixteen years? How could somebody so obviously insane keep it together for that long? An example where Truth is stranger than Fiction.   

Watched 'BLAME THE GAME' (Netflix). Two people romantically meet while walking their dogs in the park and later they become lovers. The woman meets with close friends for a 'game night' and when she brings her new boyfriend, and her ex shows up, things begin to fall apart. Dumb as shit and I gave it 'one thumb down' and it only goes to show that German TV movies can be just as bland and insipid as those made in Hollywood.  

1145am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to walk on the treadmill.

1215pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; some of an old WE MIGHT BE DRUNK and some JOE ROGAN on THEO VON.

No Weights

Reading...Too high, but the music was cookin'. I finished the treadmill walk with no problem, but once I sat down...I was down for the count. 

Sometime this afternoon they picked up the pine branches that I put out a long time ago. Did they think that it was a Christmas tree? 

330pm- 520pm: Afternoon TV?? Rippppppped!!! No afternoon walk on the treadmill. 

Watched an episode of 'I AM A KILLER' (Netflix). Drunk Indian stabs a man because he felt threatened. The man was after him, ..."because I'm a Blackfoot"; an episode of 'MY LOVER MY KILLER' (Netflix). Murder in Royston, England which is near Cambridge. I shut it down 35 minutes into episode #7.    

545pm: In the tube with 'CASE HISTORIES' and listening to CHICAGO Playlist; BLODWYN Playlist.

I had to do a 'restart' but it only took a couple of minutes.

Began 'HEAVEN AND HELL' (Netflix). I couldn't get into it. It's a dramedy set in a metropolitan Japanese police station with plenty of gory special effects. On to the next one. 

Began 'UNDER FIRE' (Netflix). A quotidian glimpse at life in a Belgian fire station. They can make a series about anything and I'll give it a shot. I shut it down 4 minutes into episode #2. I'm not 100% sold, but I'll give it at least another episode.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
