Watched 'SCREAM VI' (Netflix). It's a very mild attempt to spoof the 'Scream Movie Franchise' (in the film they're called 'Stab' films instead of 'Scream'), but really it's just a cinematic guessing game as to who will get eviscerated next. If you like to watch innovative & creative ways to slash and puncture terrified people, this might be what you are looking for. However, there is a half-hearted attempt at humor and that makes it somewhat worth a look; with Courteney Cox, Dermot Mulroney, and many others that I almost recognized.  4 wins & 27 nominations. "61" Metascore and I would have gone to "67".

Began 'PUBLIC DISORDER' (Netflix). I shut it down 28 minutes into episode #2. It's a profile of Turin Italy's Riot Police. The viewer is led to believe that street rioting is just something that occurs all the time in that northern Italian city.  I think that if social problems are ignored, sooner or later, the people will riot. If the rioters had an opportunity to have a stake in the system they would not take their grievances to the streets. However, the series seems to be more of an homage to the 'men in blue'. Spray painted on a wall, "ACAB" and I checked and it means, 'All Cops Are Bastards'. I'll continue this series tonight. 

Not sure if I'll go to Planet Fitness or hit the sidewalks for the first time in weeks.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
