I borrowed 'EILEEN' & 'LOST HIGHWAY' from Kanopy to finish out my picks for January.

Watched 'EILEEN' (Kanopy). A classy Noirish B-movie about a shy female clerk at a juvenile detention center who takes a shine to the new lady psychiatrist. Does she see the shrink as a way out of her dull existence or is it Love? A crazy plot turn has them collaborate on a murder and then the cover-up. In the end, they both leave town, but not together and their new lives begin. It's an ambitious (and morally ambiguous) film and I really liked it; with Anne Hathaway, Shea Whigham, and Thomasin McKenzie. 1 win & 8 nominations. "72" Metascore and I would go to "82".  

Finished 'PINEAPPLE EXPRESS' (Netflix). Very funny and very cheesy. An easy pick for one of the top stoner films of all time. 

Began 'RICHARD RAMIREZ: The Night Stalker Tapes' (Peacock series). I shut it down at 12 minutes into episode #1. 

1225pm: I began a big update for the phone and I hope to continue at Esporta if I can get an app for Peacock. [I did]

1pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then visit Esporta for the workout. On the way home I'll stop at Schnucks for beer, soda, dates (?). 

120 pm: To Esporta...45"Precor, 45"Treadmill, 30"Cross, 15" Recumbent Bike, 30"Precor... ONE HOUR AND 45 MINUTES...finished 'RICHARD RAMIREZ: The Night Stalker Tapes' (Peacock-TV); watched an episode of 'FILES OF THE UNEXPLAINED' (Netflix)- A profile of the mystical aspects of Mt. Shasta. Is it a gateway to the lost continent of Lemuria?; more of an investment guy, Caleb, on THEO VON.

540pm:  In the tub with 'BLADE RUNNER 2' and listening to YES Playlist;  DAVID BOWIE- 'Ziggy Stardust:  50th'; RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS- 'Uplift Mofo'.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
