***Just as I was starting the movie I noticed a prompt for a 'restart'. It happened last night downstairs. 

Was going to watch an 'iffy' Polish comedy, but the 'restart' made me reconsider something more challenging. 

Watched 'TRIAL BY FIRE' (Netflix).  In 1991 an angry & frustrated married man from Texas was convicted of the murder of his three young daughters.  He's definitely an abrasive character in a tumultuous marriage, but does that make him a murderer? He was found guilty of burning his children in their beds, but it looks like the forensic evidence was flawed. The movie doesn't really convince me of the forensics, but clearly there is more than reasonable doubt. Apparently, in Texas many executed prisoners have been exonerated after they paid the ultimate price; with Jack O'Connell, Emily Meade, Laura Dern. "51" Metascore and I would go to "74". It's a compelling true story that's not very well told. 

Finished 'THE ARE MURDERS' (Netflix). The dead man's son hit him over the head with a shovel. He died and the boy's mother and father brought the body to the train tracks. Although the crime was solved, the door is wide open for season 2. It's not official, but 'the people' want more.  

11am: I noticed a new guy entering the 'Sold' house across the street. When I returned from Planet Fitness there was a handyman's truck in their driveway. 

1125am: PC is 'Off' and will do the weights and then visit Planet Fitness. On the way home, more beer & soda at Schnucks. 

Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps

***I arrived at Planet Fitness cruising on the Cookie Bread and I had to 're-sign' with Planet Fitness. Something about how their company was using a different internal outfit. Sounded like bullshit, but I was high as a kite and still able to cope. I even had to have another photo taken. Makes No Sense At All.

1220pm: Planet Fitness...45"Cross,  45"Treadmill,  30" Recumbent Bike,  30" Treadmill,  30"Cross;  watched 'FLIPSIDE'- A profile of a New Jersey record store and the passage of time. The documentary incorporates several of his unfinished docs (Elderly jazz photographer, neighborhood bookstore owner now sells records, a female novelist with writer's block, profile of New Jersey comedian Uncle Floyd), but they all deal with nostalgia for the past; began a biography of Richard Burton, 'IN FROM THE COLD? A Portrait of Richard Burton- I don't know if I'll go back to this one; began STEVE LUKATHER on RICK BEATO. 

$40: beer/soda/ new 'butterfly' welcome mat for the breezeway.

545pm: In the tub with 'I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD' and listening to MILES DAVIS Playlist; ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND- '7 Turns'; DAVID BOWIE Playlist. 

Began 'YOUR MOM'S HOUSE' with JOEY DIAZ.

Began 'CASSANDRA' (Netflix). I shut it down 34 minutes into episode #2. A pleasant change from foreign police procedurals. A neurotic female robot takes control of an 'intelligent' home from the early 70's.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
