735am: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched 45" of 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK' with DAVE STANHOPE; watched 30" of 'ARE YOU GARBAGE?' with ARI SHAFFIR.

Watched 'QUEEN & SLIM' (Netflix). It's a kind of 'Black Bonnie & Clyde' as told by Social Justice Warriors. More fable than fact, but the point of view is both relevant and applicable to today's racial divide; with Daniel Kaluuya (Slim). Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen), Bokeem Woodbine, Cloe Sevigny, Flea. 13 wins & 44 nominations. "74" Metascore and I would boost it to "88". "Today, Law Enforcement is our slave catcher".  

More 'THE HELICOPTER HEIST' (Netflix). I shut it down 16 minutes into episode #5. 

115pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing to walk on the treadmill.

230pm and home by 615pm. They gave me a huge fruit basket (I couldn't have finished 1/3 of it before it would have gone bad) and I got to keep 'INNOCENCE' by DEAN KOONTZ (although Janny was a fan of the book as well). We had small dinner of chicken and a salad. 

Joe was ready to use his big air compressor (I brought my little one plus a 100 ft. extension cord), but the tires all checked out at slightly over 30 psi. The electronics on the Elantra must be slightly off. There seems to be a way of turning off the 'low pressure icon' (yellow tire) and the switch is under the steering wheel, however there is no indication as to how you would recognize the button. 

I had one beer and read more of 'HUNGER MAKES ME A MODERN WOMAN'. 

No bath, but downstairs at 730am and ready for more fun.

More 'THE HELICOPTER HEIST' (Netflix). I shut it down 5 minutes into episode #7. This is truly a superior film because the robbers are frightened and shaky (most of the time) and their precise planning only works 'most' of the time and the unexpected is always there (just like in real life).

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
