Weekly Cleaning

The son & grandson are in a moving frenzy; looks like tools that were in the garage are going into a trailer. Yesterday & today there were a variety of people removing odds & ends.

Watched 'SEA OF LOVE' (Netflix- leaving soon). A NYC detective is part of a sting operation to find out who is killing men who answer ads in The Personals. He becomes involved with one of the female suspects, but she isn't the killer...it's her ex-husband; with Al Pacino, Ellen Barkin, John Goodman, Richard Jenkins, and Samuel L. Jackson as 'the black guy'- he only gets one line in the very beginning of the film. "66" Metascore and I think this is 'criminally' underrated and I'd go to "87" for the breezy & pithy dialogue alone.

 Finished 'HOOLIGAN' (Netflix).  Unrelentingly grim & bleak to the very end. "Arranged fights between hooligans are called ustawki and have become common since the late 1990s". "More football hooligans in Poland than the UK".

"Traditional codes and standards passed down through generations". No chatter about season #2, but I vote 'Yes'.  

Began 'GRAVEYARD' (Netflix).  I shut it down 10 minutes into the first episode and I will be back for more of this Turkish Police Procedural later tonight. 

1135am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then a walk in Washington Park. It's been so long that I hope I don't get lost.

Watched a fifteen minute YouTube video about a guy who ate a 400 mg edible by mistake. He was high for 26 hours. 'Nerd Rope' candy looks just like the hemp product.

More 'GRAVEYARD' (Netflix). I shut it down 1 hr and 18 minutes into episode #1. There are only four episodes in the series, but each chapter is almost an hour and 45 minutes. 'Honor Killing'- Dad sold sister to a wealthy man for marriage, she ran away so dad had son kill the daughter to 'protect the family's honor'.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
