***Five years ago today, Su 2/9/2020 I smoked cannabis for the first time in about 50 years... Happy '420' Forever!

Weekly Cleaning

***Yesterday there was a nineteen dollar U-Haul at the guy's house across the street. I held out hope that he was selling to his daughter who was apparently living there.  However, it looks like he's gone for good and I'll bet Westview will remain snow covered and untouched next winter. 

Watched 'THE BIG 4' (Netflix- used 'Netflix Code').  Too much silly 'Chop-Socky' and cartoonish 'Secret Agent Man' nonsense, so it gets the boot after five minutes.

Watched 'THE PERFUMIER' (Netflix- sort by 'language'). This is a very strange German film that combines elements of 'Police Procedural', ' Murder Mystery', and 'Fantasy'. A perfumier is searching for the smell of 'Love', however he needs female body parts to complete his formula and this presents problems. Sub Plot: The female detective is in love with another cop and she threatens his marriage and family. Also, she has lost her sense of smell which is extremely odd in a film about perfume. The film was well shot, but better writing would have made it more than just peculier & weird. This one was eccentric to a fault and just for that, it's worth a look. 

Began 'THANGALAAN' (Netflix). I shut it down at 1 hour and 28 minutes and an hour remains. I'll finish this tonight. Set in Mysore State which is a district in southwestern India. The Kolar Gold Fields are located in this territory. 

1220pm: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. 

1250pm: FIVE MILES TO 4.0 PACE  WITH ZEROS SLANT;  began JOE LIST on 'BLOCKS'; began 'ARE YOU GARBAGE? '.

440pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished JOE LIST on 'BLOCKS'.

540pm: In the tub with 'LOOKING BACKWARD' and listening to LITTLE FEAT- 'Sailin' Shoes'; MILES DAVIS- 'Champions'; BUDDY MILES Playlist. 

Finished JOE LIST & wife on 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK' & watched a seven minute French YouTube video of Johnny Winter.

 Watched the first episode of 'THE WAY WE WERE' (Netflix). I shut it down 8 minutes into episode #2.  It's a three part documentary about Australian Fashion as seen through the lenses of 'Media', 'Politics', and 'Business'. {I'll finish the Indian film tomorrow... or maybe not at all}.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
