This morning there is a lot of activity next door. The father & son (?) are removing the washer, dryer,  hot water heater, and large metal objects into a trailer. Sell for scrap? Moving to a new location?

Watched 'FORBIDDEN FILMS' (Hoopla- borrowed yesterday). The film begins with footage of the concrete storage units for these vintage films. The old film stock is highly flammable & explosive and is stored in a rural area in fortified structures.

"Between 1933 and 1945, 1200 feature films were made in Germany. After the war the Allies Banned over 300 films as propaganda. There are still restrictions on over 40 of these films today." Interesting and not an easy moral dilemma. Should the films be made available today or are they still too provocative? I was surprised at how large the movie audience in Germany was during the war years. It was over ten times more popular than it is today.

Finished 'ZERO DAY' (Netflix). An engaging series and very relevant to today's situation. A real possibility is that powerful figures within the government could suspend all civil liberties if they felt that 'in the long run' they will be applauded for doing the right thing. Isn't this the main impetus of Trump and the current Republican party?    

1120am: PC is 'Off' and I was going to walk outside, but tomorrow looks like a better day to hit the sidewalks. Very windy today and tomorrow, but on Friday it will be in the upper 60's. Today I'll hit Esporta after doing the weights.

(Netflix)- She arranged for the murder of her parents, but dad lived to reveal her lies; more 'THE NIGHT AGENT' (Netflix)- corny 'special agent' foolishness, but it goes down easy. The 'night agent' is the guy that answers the phone at the white house during the 'after hours'.

***Ordered new water pick Amazon:  $26. I was so happy with the old one, but it won't take a charge. Some models go for a month on a three hour charge. I was charging every three days and I'm wondering if this might have drained the life of the battery. Can leaving a unit on 'charge' ruin the battery?

Began 'THE TRUNK' (Netflix).  The piece of luggage is worth $34,000 usd. The Korean 'contract marriages' are more like prenuptial agreements. I shut it down 7 minutes into episode #2. A rough and confusing beginning, but I'm in for more.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
