Up 545am: Breezy with a mix of sun & clouds and temps to about 40. Much cooler than yesterday. 

Watched 'BOGOTA: City of The Lost' (Netflix). It's a 'Gangster/Coming Of Age' film about a kid from South Korea who relocates to Columbia with his family.  Their first glimpse of the new land was like a scene out of Dante.  The father folds under social and economic pressure, and it's his son who becomes a major player as a smuggler for Korean expats.  He rises through the ranks and becomes 'Numero Uno' because he's smarter and more ruthless than the local bad asses. It's a trite plot, but it's an engaging Korean production shot in Bogota, Columbia and well worth a look. 

Finished 'THE HELICOPTER HEIST' (Netflix). A terrific series based on an actual incident- The Vastberga helicopter robbery on September 23, 2009....And the money was never found. The first robbery involving a helicopter in Swedish history.

1135am: PC is 'Off' and I'm very constipated from what I ate yesterday. I wanted to hit Esporta because tomorrow we're having a sleet storm. I'd like to pay the Springfield Clinic and I need to visit The Supplement Superstore,  car wash, and buy running shoes.

Watched 'THE MAKING OF THE HELICOPTER HEIST' (Netflix: 20"). The robbers got away with 39 million Swedish Krona which equals about $3,553,000 USD. The scenes with the helicopter on the bank roof were all shot on a soundstage. I never would have guessed that. 

Began 'NARCO SAINTS' (Netflix). I shut this down 13 minutes into episode #2. A Korean production set and shot in Surinam, South America. Two friends buy skate fish in Surinam and then ship them to South Korea. People in Surinam do not like that kind of fish, so the Koreans can buy them for a few cents and sell them in South Korea for much, much more. Unfortunately, somebody planted drugs in their first shipment and the police raided the ship. Another fine series from Korea.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
