I ended 'Cheese Stands Alone' and began a new file. Last night I verified that the last 'Cheese' copied to the memory sticks.
Watched 'DELICIOUS' (Netflix). It's an incisive film dealing with social and economic warfare that morphs into a horror film. A super rich German family spends their vacation at a sumptuous French country mansion and the resentment by the locals is palatable. The vacationers are oblivious to the bad vibes and the locals plot secret and sinister revenge. It went a little off the rails when you learn that the 'rebels' are also cannibals. However, the tension built from start to finish and the film was a real nail biter. It's not rated, but I would give this a solid "85" Metascore.
Watched 'AFTERSUN' (Netflix). It's the second 'film of the day' about people on holiday. A divorced Scottish father takes his ten year old daughter on a vacation to Turkey. Dad is a deeply troubled young man and his daughter struggles to form a connection. The film was glacially paced, yet still compelling. Late in the film it's revealed that the timeline is actually twenty years later and the daughter is reviewing the video of this long ago vacation to Turkey. This footage documented their last significant interactions and she is now her father's age and she is also a parent. Sometime after the vacation dad committed suicide and he sent her a postcard that was almost a suicide note {"Remember that I always loved you"}. Many years later she is still trying to understand the 'less than perfect' relationship that she had with her father.
I watched a fifteen minute YouTube video about the film and the guy thought that the film was a masterpiece. Nominated for 1 Oscar; 96 wins & 186 nominations. "95" Metascore and I'd give it an "90" Metascore.
The sun has come out so I think that I'll take to the streets and head to Washington Park and back via Country Club.

540pm: In the tub with 'THE LATHE OF HEAVEN' and listening to FACES Playlist; FINE YOUNG CANNIBALS- 'The Raw & The Cooked'; HINDU LOVE GODS Playlist.
Finished PAUL VIRZI on 'THE CHURCH OF WHAT'S HAPPENING'.
More 'WE ARE BETTER' (Netflix). I shut it down eleven minutes into the final episode and I'll finish the series tomorrow. And I've read that there is a US, China, and Russian production team working on a second season. They really hit this one out of the park because it is nearly impossible to keep the average viewer's attention over sixteen, fifty minute episodes. But, they did it.
