Watched 'CLEMENCY' (Kanopy). A powerful drama about a black female prison warden as she deals with the emotional burden of 'the execution procedure'. It's slow paced, yet completely riveting; with Alfre Woodard, Richard Schiff, Aldis Hodge, Wendell Pierce (THE WIRE). Nominated for 1 BAFTA Award; 4 wins & 32 nominations. "77" Metascore and I would bump it to "84".  

Watched '20 DAYS IN MARIUPOL' (PPS). Mariupol, Ukraine is on the Sea of Azov and in the far southeast part of Ukraine. Unbelievable footage of a city under siege. Hospitals, fire stations, universities, homes, and apartment buildings were targeted. Russian authorities said it was all 'fake news'.  It's impossible to see this film and not be moved. It looks like it will take a generation to bring this city back from ruin. War Is Heck...

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home.
