Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'TEST' (Netflix). I had to shut it down because it was an Indian film about cricket and I could not abide. ... "A Hero will destroy you to save the world! A Villain will destroy the world to save you! Who are you? How far will you go?" A 'crore' is 10 million Indian rupees. 

Watched 'A PLACE BEYOND THE PINES' (Netflix). I had seen this one before and thought it wouldn't be worth watching again because I would be too familiar. Not the case. I remembered the opening scene of him walking to the motorcycle cage and entering alone. I totally miss-remembered and completely forgot about the other two cycles in the cage. I would have loved to see how they were able to stop with all three cycles whizzing around the steel globe. First time, I gave it 'one thumbs up' and this time I upped it to 'two thumbs up'. The first story arc follows the 'Stunt Motorcyclist/ Bank Robber' father and the second arc highlights the cop who killed him. The tale is a bit convoluted, but it's somewhat believable thanks to a dynamite cast; Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta. 5 wins & 22 nominations. "68" Metascore and I'd go to "83".

1130am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to get an early start on the workout. I'll do the weights and then go back to Planet Fitness.

More 'WOMAN OF THE DEAD' (Netflix). I shut it down 31 minutes into episode #5. I could finish the series tomorrow morning. The highlight of the episode is a very nice fight scene that ends with a corkscrew to the jugular.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am.
