Up 730am {the wrong day to oversleep}. Partly cloudy, less humidity and temps only to 80. Beautiful.

***The computer upstairs is back to 'exceptional'. The sluggishness must have been tied to the Adobe program (that I have never used).

Watched 'IN FOR A MURDER' (Netflix). I saw this one a long time ago and I had given it 'two thumbs up'.  It's a fine film that doesn't take itself too seriously yet the costumes, set design, and visual presentation are impeccable. A light hearted murder mystery with a boorish and ineffective cop who teams up with a woman whose detective skills rival (a Polish) Sherlock Holmes.  In the end the woman leaves her husband and happily begins life on her own.  The film is set in Podkowa Lesna, Poland which is a small town (pop: 3,800) 20 miles southwest of Warsaw.

110pm- 220pm: To the dentist...Dentist said I need a new crown; left incisor. Made an appointment,  next Thursday, 8-28: 1pm [my end is $950] & the next checkup is Wednesday, 2/4: 130. I don't trust these people, but what can I do? I can't go to another dentist for an opinion? The insurance wouldn't allow this.

Finished 'Bobby's Grudge' on 'BAD FRIENDS'.

More 'DEUTSCHLAND 83' (Amazon Prime). I finished episode #7 and only one remains in the series and I'll finish it tomorrow morning. I guess that nuclear war will be avoided. So much of this is based on actual events that I wonder if it's more true than not. Ex.- A 1983 incident where the Soviets shot down a commercial airliner because it invaded Russian airspace. True or False?

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
