905am: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched the first two episodes of 'KILLER IN PLAIN SIGHT' (Amazon Prime). 1) Wealthy realtor is killed in a car bombing engineered by his ex-wife. 2) Neighborhood teen kills a local girl with a hunting knife; began RICK BEATO with JOHN FOGERTY. 

***ATT truck arrived next door around 8am and I think he removed the hanging wire from the pole to his house.  Maybe there was a pre-existing underground line? For a while there was a black cat (just like Buddy) sitting in my backyard adjacent to 'headless Mary'. 

Entered 'MY SECRET HISTORY' by PAUL THEROUX into the blog. 

Began 'WAYWARD' (Netflix). It's about kidnapping & reengineering teens' minds...Very creepy; with TONI COLETTE and I'll be back for more of this.

1220pm: The PC is 'Off' and I'm rushing to visit the dentist for the 'crown installation'. 

1240pm: To dentist:  In the chair by 1pm and out by 130pm.  

More of 'WAYWARD' (Netflix).  I shut it down 37" into episode #4. 

415pm: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a three mile walk on the treadmill and then over to the fucking baseballl diamonds. I'm taking the car so that I can take a chair and books. 

430pm: THREE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; Watched an old HARLAND WILLIAMS with MARK NORMAND. 

***Just as I was leaving for the ball fields I noticed a text from Janny that they were bringing me a chair. Since a chair would be provided, I didn't have to drive so I walked to the field with a big bag of books. Home by 725pm and I was shivering. 

More 'WAYWARD' (Netflix). After the chilly walk I decided to watch in the living room and quaffed a diet Squirt, a warm PBR & a warm Natty Light. I binged almost this entire series in one day. It was that good! I shut it down 5 minutes into episode #7 and I will finish the series tomorrow morning. At first I thought they missed the boat by not playing up the 'Christian' overtones, but the psychological angle works even better. I can't say enough about the series. A review from VARIETY: "Amid an endlessly captivating cast and a compelling plot that never quite moves in the direction the viewers might expect, “Wayward” is a thrilling watch. Martin’s limited series — which begs for a second season — highlights why coercion and control are typically ineffective remedies for adolescent rebellion. It also depicts how charismatic individuals can gain power over those who are desperate for a sense of direction."

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
