Watched 'ERIC LA RUE' (Hoopla). The story begins some months after the crisis. A mother is confused as to 'what and how she should feel' after her teenage son murdered three of his classmates during a school shooting. The boy has been convicted and sentenced to prison and mom hasn't visited him or been able to deal with the stigma to her family.  Most of the people in her community are devout Christians, but what they are advocating (preaching) really does nothing for the mother of the school shooter. The Christian 'words of healing' are nothing more than bible school jargon. I really liked the film and I can see how it would be really offensive to many; with Judy Greer, Paul Sparks (a perfect ineffectual pastor), Alexander Skarsgard (a perfect believer), Alison Pill, Tracy Letts. Directed by Michael Shannon. "61" Metascore and I would boost that to "84".  Filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.

 Began 'TURN OF THE TIDE: The Surreal Story Of Rabo De Peixe' (Netflix).  In the summer of 2001 a sailboat from America experienced severe rudder problems and had to dump hundreds of pounds of cocaine off the coast of a small island in the Azores. The villagers scooped up the drugs, but only the gang-bangers knew how to make money from the windfall. I shut it down after 30 minutes.

Wrote a short email to Janny about the security breach at Cowan Epperson. They should call Ameriprise and put a 'freeze' on their accounts and make an appointment at Cowan Epperson to help them get the IRS 6 pin number.

More 'FAUDA' (Netflix). I shut it down 8 minutes into episode #11. I could finish season #1 tomorrow morning.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
