Watched 'AMBULANCE' (Netflix). If you're looking for fantastic police car chases involving helicopters, gunplay, and crashing vehicles of all sorts....look no further. A robbery team steals millions from a Los Angeles bank and commandeers an ambulance. The female EMT and the wounded police officer in the ambulance become hostages. You really have to suspend disbelief because the chases would never have gone on so long in real life. Literally, dozens of police cars were destroyed in the collateral mayhem and no city authority would have allowed that level of carnage to continue, but in the movie, it works. Cheesy, yet effective fantasy thrills galore; with Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen, Eiza Gonzalez, Garret Dillahunt, Keir O'Donnell. Directed by Michael Bay. "55" Metascore and I would go to "81".  I noticed that this is a remake of a 2005 Danish film by the same name. 

More 'THE CRYSTAL CUCKOO' (Netflix). I shut it down 23 minutes into episode #4. The girl investigates the 'original' owner of her new heart, and discovers a series of missing persons reports that might mean there was a serial killer operating in the area. There's a lot of moving parts in this series, but still engaging. 

1235pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to visit Planet Fitness, and then stop at Schnucks to get a cake or some cookies to take to The Brandenburg's. Jon and his family will be attending as well.  

12pm:To Planet Fitness...45"Cross, 45"Treadmill, 30"Recumbent Bike, 45"Cross; watched documentary 'THE CARMAN FAMILY DEATHS' (Netflix)- An autistic man in Rhode Island kills his mother & grandfather. I guess it's telling us that people with autism can be evil as well; more of ADAM RAY on J.R.E.; more 'THE GIRLFRIEND' (Amazon Prime).

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
