***This morning I noticed that the red light on the wifi is 'On' and, as usual, performance is unaffected. I'm relatively sure that there was a power outage in the house last night, but why the red light?
8am: A frenzied snowsquall that lasted about 20 minutes; a dusting of ground cover that melted within an hour.
Up 7am {restless night}. Light rain & snow showers this morning, then cloudy & breezy with temps to low 40's.
Watched 'A MOST WANTED MAN' (Kanopy). A muslim man seeks asylum in Germany. He's trying to get millions from the account of his rich dead father who was the head of a vast criminal empire. German police and US foreign service act to get the money from falling into the hands of terrorists. The details of the operations are fuzzy as well as the possible outcomes and that's probably what it's like in the real world of modern spycraft; with Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams, Daniel Bruhl, Nina Hoss, Vicky Krieps. 3 wins & 6 nominations. "73" Metascore and I would go to "87". The final scene reminded me that I had watched the film before. Hoffman's character is so disgusted with the Americans for co-opting his operation that he stops driving his car, gets out and just walks away...the film ends. As the final credits rolled I learned that the film was based on a John Le Carre novel.
More 'RUN AWAY' (Netflix). Lots and lots of characters, but the basic premise is fairly easy to make out.
1245pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do 5 miles on the treadmill and then hit County Market/ Fairhills for the groceries.
110pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; 6 Hour Bong Fest- 'GDWH'.
County Market: 310pm & put away by 350pm: $113.00
Reading 'THE BRASS VERDICT'
545pm: In the tub with 'THE BRASS VERDICT' and listening to JOHN COLTRANE- 'Soultrane'; JOHN MAYALL- 'Crusader'/ 'Beano'.
More of 'The 6 Hour Bong-A-Thon': 'GDWH'.
***I learned that Bob Weir passed away. He died from lung problems and he was 78.
Began 'THE PRICE OF CONFESSION' (Netflix). A South Korean woman is convicted of brutally stabbing her husband in his artist studio. The details are randomly presented and something unusual is afoot. I'm definitely hooked for more of this. Filmed in many traditional and modern locations in Seoul, South Korea.
