Watched 'RAAT AKELI HAI: THE BANSAL MURDERS' (Netflix). After almost an hour, I gave up on this one- 'One Thumb Down' and the second in two days. I gave 'BECKY' (Netflix) the same. 

9am: I noticed a tree service at the white house across the street. They're trying to get a tractor around to the back, but it won't fit through the fence. 

945am: It looks like they are trying to drive a leaf blower truck...I have no idea what they are doing. I now see that the blower truck is a bucket truck and they are cutting limbs from the huge birch (yes; Google Image) tree in their backyard. It doesn't look like he can reach to the other side.  It does. The giant Birch tree is being cut down. 

Watched 'TWELVE YEARS A SLAVE' (Netflix). It's 1841 and a freed & educated black man is shanghaied in Washington DC and sold back into slavery; with Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender, Scoot McNairy, Paul Giamatti, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Dano, Sarah Paulson, Alfre Woodard, Brad Pitt. Directed by Steve McQueen. "96" Metascore and that's where I'd put it.  

12pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill.

1240pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; DEROSA on 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK'; audiobook 'MONEY LIES AND GOD'.

Reading & began skimming 'LOST WEEKEND' by Charles Jackson.  

445pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; audiobook 'MONEY LIES AND GOD'.

540pm: In the tub to begin 'COUNT ZERO' by WILLIAM GIBSON and listening to MATTHEW SWEET- 'Girlfriend' the entire session.

Began H. FOLEY on 'HONEY DEW'.

More 'TELL ME YOUR NAME' (Amazon Prime). This was just a bit too slow and deliberate and too tame of a payoff....So I switched back to 'THE RISE AND FALL OF VERSAILLES' (Amazon Prime). I shut it down 46 minutes into the second episode.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer.
