Up 7am: {couldn't sleep}. Partly cloudy & windy with temps to low 80's.

I vacuumed the living room, hallway, bathroom, and kitchen & put the items back into the cabinets in the bathroom.

Watched 'My Brooklyn' (Kanopy). A thought provoking documentary about the racial and class aspects of Gentrification. When poor people get money from the government, it's called 'Welfare'. When rich developers get money from the government, it's called 'Subsidies' and 'Incentives'. If the government can let communities be 'redlined' and sold out to the highest bidder, then why do we need a government? City planners are actually acting against the best interest of the people that live in that community. Why can't it be public policy to offer tax breaks and other incentives to create and sustain affordable housing and small businesses in an indigenous community. 'Redlining' was dividing an area up and if 5% were ethnic minorities it would be called 'D' for 'Dangerous'. This area would very soon experience drastic decline because banks would not loan any money for properties that were deemed 'Dangerous'.  Then the upscale developers would move in and the average people are squeezed out.   

Began 'THE GUTTER' (Kanopy). However, I shut it down at 13 minutes because I'm in the mood (sky high)  for a jazz doc and I have three days to finish today's second (not so good) 'movie of the day'.  

Watched 'LET'S GET LOST' (Kanopy). I shut it down with 51 minutes left to go and I'll finish it soon. I only have one borrow left on Kanopy and that won't get you anything and Hoopla is zero.  

I have to write a brief chat (with photos) about the bathroom remodel and a positive review for AK CONTRACTING LLC. And then to Planet Fitness.

It's late, but I finished the Chat but didn't get to the positive review for AK Contractors LLC...later.

120pm:  The PC is 'Off' and preparing to go to Planet Fitness...

Reading 'PRENTICE ALVIN' 

535pm: First time in the new tub with 'PRENTICE ALVIN' and listening to PINK FLOYD- 'Early Stuff'; PIGBAG Playlist; JOHN MAYALL & THE BLUES BREAKERS- 'Beano'...The tub bottom is not a problem and reasonably comfortable, however the noisy fan is a giant issue. Can I get used to the noisy background drone that it makes while I listen to music?

I ordered a gray shower curtain from Amazon.

Finished MARK NORMAND on 'ARE YOU GARBAGE?' and watched a 17 minute YouTube video about Ron McKernan, 'Pigpen' of The Grateful Dead. He actually had a fatal autoimmune liver disease that he was born with although years of heavy drinking didn't help the situation.  

Finished 'LET'S GET LOST' (Kanopy). It's a quality documentary about a musician who played music called 'Cool Jazz'. If you like Nat King Cole or even Peggy Lee, you might like his singing style, but everyone else should steer clear.  However, he' just as sexy as Elvis and that's the lion's share of his appeal...I think. 

Hope I get more sleep tonight.

A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home.
