Watched 'INSIDE THE YELLOW COCOON SHELL' (Hoopla). This one I watched in 2024 and is rated 'one of the best foreign films' on Hoopla. A man's sister in law is killed in a motorcycle accident. He must take his brother's five year old son back to their home village. Stunning & mesmerizing photography of daily life in Saigon and the hilly terrain of rural Vietnam. Nobody in the tiny villages takes money. They will provide a service for free because 'it's just family'.  The funeral expense for the boy's mom was $16,000,000 Vietnamese dong or $607.00 usd.  Filmed over two years in Vietnam; Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong province, Bao Loc and Di Linh. I watched a couple of short YouTube videos about the film. 

1150am: I will finish the Vietnamese film tonight & the PC is 'Off' and the plan is to workout at Planet Fitness, and then up the hill to buy a new license plate sticker. 

830am: Trucks from CWLP were in front of the guy's house next door to add dirt to the hole in his lawn. They spray painted my manhole covers blue. I wonder what 'blue' signifies?  'Blue' is the universal color for 'part of the potable water infrastructure' to differentiate from gas or electric. 

A request for a 'restart'. I was expecting this late last week and it only took a couple of moments. 

1220pm:  To Planet Fitness...45"Cross,  45"Treadmill, 15"Recumbent Bike, 30"Cross....TWO HOURS AND 15 MINUTESƁ watched the documentary 'MELANIA' (Amazon Prime)- I wonder if Melania has heard of Marie Antoinette? The documentary boasts an oddly excellent soundtrack. It begins with 'Gimme Shelter', The Stones; more PROFESSOR DAVE EXPLAINS 'Tylenol & Autism'. 

***245pm after the workout:  To DMV on Wabash and the fucking place is shut down...the best one in the fucking city. I didn't know for sure where to go. Is there still an office on Mason? Should I drive to South Dirksen and learn you need an appointment? I fucking paid a couple of bucks to get it online, although I have to wait for the sticker to arrive in the mail, it doesn't expire till the end of April. 

***$154.40- total; ($151.00 license sticker without the fee). Well worth a few bucks to avoid driving around town, parking, walking, waiting, talking, and leaving angry.

Finished 'INSIDE THE YELLOW COCOON SHELL' (Hoopla).He leaves his nephew with the nuns and he never finds his brother...or after he finishes bathing in the river all is resolved. What I remember most is the protagonist driving a lightweight motorbike up and down muddy dirt paths.
