Up 735am: A mix of sun & clouds with temps to about 75.
Watched 'KOLN 75' (Hoopla). The film is based on an incident in the life of the record promoter, Vera Brandes. She booked Keith Jarrett to play at the Koln Opera House and this concert recording went on to become the best-selling recording of a piano performance ever. The big problem in the film is that the piano was not up to snuff. I wonder how much of this narrative is true? {According to Wikipedia the 'broken' piano that Jarrett used was historically correct} However, the movie is more about female empowerment in a patriarchal system than a film about a pivotal moment in the history of jazz. And, why use a song by the Bee Gees instead of one of Keith Jarrett's pieces? And I think that I look as much like the real Keith Jarrett as the actor who portrays him in the movie. In the film Keith Jarrett asks for $10,000 DM to play and that's about $6,000 usd. "62" Metascore and I would go to "77".
Watched an episode of 'HOMICIDE NEW YORK' (Netflix)- 'Central Park Slaying'. I shut it down 22 minutes into the second episode. Two rich & entitled fifteen year old kids (a boy & girl) butcher a man Central Park near Strawberry Fields at the edge of The Lake. I'll be back to finish the episode tonight.
1220pm: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk in Washington Park and then to County Market for groceries...maybe.
To Washington Park...change of plans. Since tomorrow will be much warmer (temps to hit 90 degrees) I thought the walk would be better on Thursday.
1pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; JOHN OLIVER on DAN SODER; began 'TUESDAYS WITH STORIES'.
245pm: To County Market & put away by 330pm: $119.00.
Reading 'THE PURPLE BOOK'
540pm: In the tub to re-begin 'VICTIM' and listening to KEITH JARRETT- 'The Koln Concert'; ALICE COLTRANE Playlist; JOHN MAYALL &THE BLUESBREAKERS- 'Beano'.
Finished 'TUESDAYS WITH STORIES', finished HOMICIDE: NEW YORK- ' Central Park Slaying'.
More RADIOACTIVE EMERGENCY (Netflix). On September 13, 1987, two men removed a shielded cesium-137 source (a highly radioactive, glowing blue powder) from an abandoned clinic in Goiania. Four people died from acute radiation syndrome. Over 112,000 people were screened, and hundreds of homes were decontaminated or demolished. This was one of the world's most severe radiological disasters.
