Up 6am: "To Battle Stations"!!! The threat of strong winds & storms all day with 1- 2 inches of rain (later the estimate was upped to 2- 3 inches) predicted with temps to low 70's. 

835am- 840am: Violent storm and power went out for a few seconds. That was the hardest I've seen it rain in years. The rain gauge says we got about an inch in that brief downpour.  I had to 'restart' and turn on the speaker bar and more savage weather penciled in for this afternoon. {Two and 3/4 inches for the day} 

Watched 'THE SHROUDS' (Kanopy- I first tried to watch 'MEN OF WAR', but it wouldn't load). David Cronenberg directs- Very odd tone; amputee-sex fetish? Body shroud in the grave allows loved ones to monitor decomposition. Is the theme of the film to present a future misuse of technology? Create a hypothetical fetish or phobia and people will embrace it; with Vincent Cassel, Diane Kruger, Guy Pearce. "72" Metascore and I would go to "85".      

***The weather radar map is nearly all orange and red from about 11am till 4pm. I seriously am considering shutting everything down this afternoon. A massive downpour at 1015am. I couldn't even see across the street and I noticed two fire trucks came up Westview and turned right on Kenyon. And, a cop car drove down Westview. I wonder what's going on in the neighborhood? 

Finished 'BLACK RABBIT' (Netflix). The reason for the extreme closeness of the two brothers is because they both know that the grifter brother killed dad. During an altercation between mom and dad, the grifter bro dropped a bowling ball on their father's head from the second floor (ya can't make this stuff up).  The ending is strange and it turns into a general homage to the boroughs of the city of New York. It's not quite as good as 'OZARK' or even 'BREAKING BAD', but Jason Bateman's performance is his best.   

By noon one storm front has cleared, but the worst should hit between 2pm and 6pm. It looks as if 'orange and red' last for a couple of hours and this might be the worst I've ever seen if it really happens.

Watched 'WHO KILLED SANTA? (50" Netflix).  Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Maya Rudolph play characters in a skit about the murder of Santa. He was stabbed by a candy cane that had been licked to a sharp point.  'The Hook' is that Jason and Maya don't have a script and have no idea what is going on, but they have to improvise. I made it to 28 minutes and had to shut it down. Not my brand of comedy.

1245pm: I'm going to shut down and get on the treadmill and hope that I can be done before the real storms begin. The '420 order' from DiamondCBD arrived on the front porch. 

105pm:  FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished SKUNK BAXTER on BILLY CORGAN;  'LAST WEEK TONIGHT- 'AI & Suicide'.

230pm:  Sump Pump tripped breaker (# 15 in the box above the dryer. 

Reading 'CITY OF ILLUSIONS'

530pm:  So far the worst storms have passed by, but all of central Illinois is under a tornado watch until 9pm. By 7pm the sun began to shine. According to my rain gauge we got about two and 3/4 of an inch of rain. The rain this morning was very intense and I can't remember seeing that big of a downpour. However, a few years ago I remember getting five inches over a day and a half. 

440pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began MARK NORMAND on HARLAND WILLIAMS.

540pm: In the tub with 'CITY OF ILLUSIONS' and listening to DOOBIE BROTHERS- 'Living On The Faultline'; GRATEFUL DEAD- 'Dick's Picks: vol. 18'.

Watched a 15 minute podcast about how legacy acts are dying off and 'authorized' cover bands might provide the answer.

Watched more of a YouTube bio of John Bonham.

More 'BANDI' (Netflix). I finished the second episode. I don't know why this is so compelling, but I'm totally into the story.
