***Last night the sump pump tripped the breaker. I flipped the switch and it was back, but this morning I noticed that it had kicked it again. The green light is on and 'all systems are Go', but are they? The fucker turns on, I can hear water sloshing, but is it working?

Watched 'MEN OF WAR' (Kanopy- this wouldn't load yesterday). A fascinating documentary about former Green Beret, Jordan Goudreu's attempt to topple the government of Venezuela with a ragtag group of 'concerned patriots'. Or was it a clandestine operation that had the full support of the US government? It sure looks like Trump's guys were hedging their bets. If 'somebody else' launched a successful invasion, then they would take credit. If it failed, they would deny all knowledge. What do we do with all of the 'Rambo' types who were Special Forces trained and are now running around with 'no goals'? That is scary because if a war is not necessary, these guys will start one.  

Watched 'OBEX' (Hoopla). A sweet black & white Independent film about a young man who 'enters' an early version of a virtual computer game. He loses his dog, Sandy to a demon in the Obex game world and he sets out to find his snatched pup. The film was released in 2026 and set in Baltimore, MD in the year 1987. I was surprised to learn that the film was shot in Hampton, MD which is 3 miles from where we lived on Coldbrook Rd. in Timonium.

A man commits incest with a daughter that he & his ex wife gave up for adoption when she was born. Very transgressive yet based on a true incident; more 'SOUTHLAND' (Netflix).

The retired dentist, Dr. Curt sent a Facebook link (6 min) about a young woman who is dressed like a nun stealing thongs in a store by putting them on under her habit.  Very odd. Then I watched a YouTube video about Christopher Hitchens's comments about the death of Jerry Falwell. Can a few good deeds make up for "hypocrisy, corruption, and the manipulation of religion for political power"? YouTube (21"): 'The Most Expensive Relapse In Music History'- a bio of Bradley Nowel of 'SUBLIME'. 

More 'BANDI' (Netflix). I shut it down 53 minutes into the third episode. Still engaging to the max. Kitchen Sink Realism in the tropics and Paris.
