Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'INFERNAL AFFAIRS' (Kanopy- the basis for the American film 'THE DEPARTED'). The cinematography was superb but the storyline was more than a little hard to follow. It seems like it was taken from a deep and well written Police Procedural novel. Both 'INFERNAL AFFAIRS' & 'THE DEPARTED' tell the same story, but differently. "75" Metascore and I'm surprised it wasn't higher and I'd go to "90". 

Watched 'ANIMAL KINGDOM' (Tubi). Wow! The movie was much more insightful and edgy than the series. The actor who plays, Jay the sixteen year old waif is perfectly cast as a cagy yet innocent waif who is thrust into a violent family of crime (the Lion's Den!); with James Frencheville ("Jay"), Guy Pearce, Joel Edgerton, Ben Mendelsohn, Jacki Weaver ("Smurf"). Nominated for 1 Oscar: 39 wins & 60 nominations. "83" Metascore and I would easily go to "93". 

1210pm: The PC is 'Off' and I was going to hit the sidewalks, but I think I'll do the treadmill and then hit County Market for the groceries. Tomorrow will be warmer and maybe a better day on the streets.

More 'UNCHOSEN' (Netflix). I shut it down 40 minutes into episode #4. A sexy criminal seduces the wife and then the husband. High sexual tensions boil over in the devout Christian community. This series gets better as it unfolds.
