Watched 'AGORA' (Netflix). An odd film about the trials and tribulations of a female astronomer (Hypatia) in fourth century Alexandria, Egypt. The Holy Roman Empire is crumbling and Christians, Pagans, & Jews fight for supremacy. It's a corny morality play with lots of togas and facial gymnastics that include an astronomy lesson about the importance of ellipses vs. circles; with Rachel Weisz, Max Minghella, Oscar Isaac. "55" Metascore and I would go to "74". From 'TIME OUT'- "Merely a paint-by-numbers condemnation of social intolerance. It's a slog of a sermon."     

Watched 'LADIES FIRST' (Netflix). A sexist CEO hits his head and lands in an alternative universe where women rule the world. Lots of satire and some (many) of the jibes cut like a knife; with Sacha Baron Cohen, Rosamund Pike, Emily Mortimer, Richard E. Grant. "41" Metascore and I would go to "75". From 'THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER'- "The film moves swiftly enough, with the gags coming at such a consistent pace, that inevitably some of them land. And the performers certainly know how to sell the material, with Cohen amusingly leaning into his character’s humiliations, Pike appealingly reveling in her character’s dominance, and the top-notch supporting cast going through their paces like the pros they are." Based on the French film 'I AM NOT AN EASY MAN' (Netflix) and I've got it in the queue. 

 1130am: Preparing for a visit to Esporta and then (possibly) to Menards to spend some rebate cash.

1155am:  FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; an episode of 'FATAL FRAUD' (Amazon Prime)- A couple create a Ponzi scheme dealing with government contracts; began 'HULK HOGAN: REAL AMERICAN' (Netflix)- He was in a local rock band in Tampa, FL.

A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside.
