The painter arrived next door just after 6am and he's painting the side of the house (my side).
Watched 'MODI' (Amazon Prime). The first few scenes were a crazy burlesque and I almost shut it down, but the film develops into a gloomy & bleak portrait of the the Art scene in Paris at the early part of the 20th century; with Riccardo Scamarcio as 'Modigliani', Al Pacino in a small role and directed by Johnny Depp (he's not an actor in the film). It's set in Paris under seige during WWI and profiles three early 20th century artists, Amedeo Modigliani, Maurice Utrillo, Chaim Soutine. They are presented as the dregs of society, yet fiercely defensive and confused about Art and the price of fame. I was surprised to see that the movie is an adaptation of a play. Filmed in Budapest, Hungary. "32" Metascore and I would go to "77".
815am: The dentist called to confirm my appointment at 1pm on Thursday.
Finished 'I WILL FIND YOU' (Netflix). Another successful adaptation of a Harlan Coben novel. There are a lot of moving parts, and it's totally implausible, but so engaging. They never showed the three year old boy getting beaten to death with a baseball bat. That kid had a terminal disease and he was to die a gruesome death, so maybe they felt a caved skull might be a more humane way to go. And, the man's escape from a maximum security prison was completely unbelievable.
1045am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to pay a visit to Janny at Memorial then back home for a bowl and a workout at Esporta...
1105am- 1250pm Memorial...She seems mentally strong and isn't sugar coating the situation. She was to be moved late this afternoon to the joint on West Washington. 5 frantic minutes to find the Elantra on the way out.
130pm: To Esporta...45"Precor, 45"Treadmill, 30"Cross, 15"Recumbent Bike, 15"Precor; watched 'STOLEN BABY: THE MURDER OF HEIDI BROUSSARD' (Netflix)- Another film about a young woman who steals a newborn baby. Is this a real thing?; finished WHISKEY GINGER with JAKE JOHNSON; finished ANTHONY JESELNIK on WE MIGHT BE DRUNK.
Reading THE MOSQUITO COAST
535pm: In the tub with 'THE MOSQUITO COAST and listening to BIG WRECK Playlist; Best of Chess Records; BEASTIE BOYS Playlist.
Finished 'GIG DISASTERS' & 'The End of Middle Class Musicians' with TIM PIERCE on RICK BEATO.
More 'POLYGAMIST' (Netflix). I shut it down 7 minutes into episode #16. There are 22 episodes in the series and each one is about 30 minutes.
