Watched 'MIROIRS NO. 3' (Kanopy). The film begins with a fatal car crash in which her boyfriend is killed and she survives. She gets taken in by a middle aged woman and 'The Men' (her husband and son). Big Reveal: Mom was seeking a 'replacement' ('reflection'?) for her daughter who committed suicide. I thought that there would be a bit more to the story. Shot in Berlin and the Uckermark region in Brandenburg, Germany. This area is north of Berlin, Germany on the Polish border. Directed and written by Christian Petzold. "78" Metascore and that's about where I'd put it. From THE PLAYLIST- "While Mirrors No.3 does not put a foot wrong, it does not display the narrative and formal intricacy we have come to expect from the director either. After the film elegantly sets its mechanisms in motion, we are left to watch the cogs turn without a hitch, but also without much surprise."

Finished 'UMTHETHO' (Netflix). A lot of confusion, yet one of the most dangerous prison populations ever filmed.

A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home.
