Up 645am: Partly sunny with temps to mid 80's. Windows opened for a while and closed at noon. 

Watched 'A PRIVATE LIFE' (Netflix). A female Parisian psychiatrist becomes involved in a convoluted 'whodunnit' mystery after one of her patients commits suicide. All kinds of theories could be true, but the ending seems to suggest that "we're all just muddling in the dark". It's an Art Film that strives (strains?) to be visually and intellectually challenging, but the payoff is not quite worth the effort; with Jodie Foster, Daniel Auteuil, Mathieu Amalric and more top-tier French acting talent. "67" Metascore and I would go to "75". THE DAILY BEAST- "The film around her never quite comes together, but Foster is more than enough reason to embark on this off-kilter investigation."  

Watched 'ONCE UPON A TRUE CRIME' (Amazon Prime). "The Ice Cream Van Murders" - In the early 80's a drug syndicate was using ice cream vans to sell drugs in the projects of East Glasgow. Competition was fierce to get the best routes, and authorities contended that six members of a family were burned alive in their beds because they ran ice cream trucks in the area. Two men served twenty years for a crime that they didn't commit. They were set up by the local Scottish police.

Watched 'LAST WEEK TONIGHT' (Amazon Prime)- 'Police Surveillance'; Flock Cameras...."Big Brother was not the hero of the novel '1984'".

1205pm: The PC is 'Off' and I decided to walk on the treadmill today. Tomorrow it will be cooler (less humid) and I'll visit Washington Park. 

1225pm:  FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; 2 episodes of Netflix podcast 'ALLEGEDLY'; no resolution, just the cases.

Watched a YouTube video about Roger Daltrey and it was not worth the effort.

More 'BEEF' (Netflix). I shut it down 20 minutes into episode #6. The writing is razor sharp and I'm gonna miss this one when it's gone. The first season was only good, but season #2 is brilliant.

A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home.
