910am- 1047am: Called Janny. The big meeting occurred at 900 North 1st on Tuesday and Jon, Jamie, and Melissa (via phone) were with her. First, a nurse practitioner (9am- 1030am) told them what to expect from immunotherapy and chemo, and then Dr. Garg (at a 1230pm meeting) told them that she was terminal (No Hope).  Jamie, Jon, Joe, and Melissa (via phone) were at the meeting with Dr. Garg and the mood seems to be that hospice care might be the best way to go because she's opting for 'quality' rather than 'quantity'. Tuesday, 8/11 she is scheduled to begin treatment, but she's holding out. They are going to give her case to a doctor in Decatur that worked well with Carol (Melissa's mother). This guy is a retired 'expert', but I doubt he can really come up with something positive, but I guess it doesn't hurt to give him a shot- The 'Hail Mary' pass.  

Watched 'ASPHALT CITY' (Netflix). A grim snapshot of life as an emergency medical technician on the lower east side of Manhattan. Interesting Viewpoint: Although suffering is rampant, the people that they are 'helping' often hate and resent their ministrations. It's also a 'buddy film' in that a grizzled veteran shows a 'newbie' the ropes; with Tye Sheridan, Sean Penn, Michael C. Pitt, Mike Tyson. "47" Metascore and I think the low score might be tied to Sean Penn's politics and I would boost the rating to "79".

More 'THE BOROUGHS' (Netflix). I shut it down 21 minutes into episode #7. This was the first time that I heard the lyrics to 'THUNDER ROAD' by Springsteen and the sentiment of the song really fits for a retirement home. I could finish the series tomorrow morning & more 'BEEF' (Netflix) for tonight.  

1pm: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. The hour and a half (plus) phone call has got me running a bit behind.

125pm:  FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; an old TUESDAYS WITH STORIES.

Reading 'DEMIAN' & I used the new microwave popcorn popper for the first time. It works perfectly on the 'popcorn' setting on the microwave, but it seemed to take too long. Tomorrow I'm going to try 2 minutes on 'high'- YouTube recommendation. 

435pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began STAVROS HALKIAS on CHRIS DISTEFANO.

535pm: In the tub with 'DEMIAN' and listening to COLEMAN HAWKINS- 'Night Hawk'; COLLECTIVE SOUL- 'Hints...'; CLIMAX BLUES BAND- 'FM/ Live'; HOT CHIP Playlist.

Finished STAVRO HALKIAS on CHRIS DISTEFANO.

More 'BEEF' (Netflix). 'Bufo'- a psychedelic venom from the Sonoran Desert toad; DMT; complete ego dissolution in one to three minutes total & loss of identity, merging with a unified field of light or energy; return to baseline consciousness in 30- 45 minutes. I shut it down 35 minutes into episode #7. I will finish the series tomorrow morning; there is an hour remaining.
