Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'BANG BANG' (Hoopla- last pick of the month). A boxing film that is not about winning or overcoming great odds, but an unvarnished look at how myths about respect and manliness and a crooked promotional system does far more harm than good. Tim Blake Nelson creates a brilliantly twisted character (although Bang can walk, he occasionally carts around in a wheelchair) who is far more realistic & authentic than Rocky ever was.  

What a strange ending..."The American Association of Ringside Physicians will tell you that the highest number of mortality rates are from fighters whose fathers are in their corner. This film is dedicated to the fighters who have suffered, both in and out of the ring."  The writer of the film, Will Janowitz plays the supervisor at the grandson's community payback. My Question: Do you get paid for community service work? Somebody is getting paid and if you are not compensated, isn't that illegal wage theft? Film quote:  "My father would have knocked the teeth out of my head if I agreed to work for nothing". 

More 'FAUDA' (Netflix). I finished episode #10 and only two remain. I can finish season #2 tomorrow morning. 

12pm:  The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to workout at Planet Fitness and then pick up cheese & spinach at Schnucks. 

1220pm: To Planet Fitness...45"Cross, 45"Treadmill, 20"Recumbent Bike, 25"Cross...TWO HOURS AND 15 MINUTES; watched documentary 'THE AI DOC: OR HOW I BECAME AN APOCALOPTIMIST' (Netflix)- AI is Artificial Intelligence & AGI is Artificial General Intelligence; began a '48 HOURS' (Netflix).

Schnucks: 2 bags spinach, pepper jack cheese: $6.00.

Reading 'DO WITH ME WHAT YOU WILL'

545pm:  No! In the tub, but I didn't finish 'DO WITH ME WHAT YOU WILL' but instead I read all about GUESS WHO & BTO; listening to GUESS WHO- 'Canned Wheat'; BACHMAN- TURNER OVERDRIVE Playlist. 

Finished KEVIN & H. FOLEY on 'STAVVY'S WORLD'.

More 'MY SAD DEAD' (Netflix). I shut it down a couple of minutes into the fourth and final episode. I will finish this tomorrow morning. 

The installation of the TV upstairs should begin at 1pm and I might hit the treadmill in the morning.
