Watched 'SAINT OMER' (Kanopy). It's a look at 'Infanticide', displaced persons, and motherhood within the parameter of a courtroom drama. Very much an Art Film and the acting is mesmerizing, but it's more than a little confusing. The tall, strikingly elegant female character who is also pregnant and experiencing the revelations of the trial seems tacked on to the primary storyline. The defendant lived in southeastern Paris near Bois de Vincennes; a big park (hiking, biking, botanical garden) just off the beltway. The baby is left on the beach at the coastal town of Berck-sur-Mer, France. This is in southwestern France not too far from Le Treport on the Spanish border. "91" Metascore and I would only go to "86". 

Watched a YouTube video about Cannabis and Driving. An accredited female optometrist tries to arrive at a fair and accurate method to ascertain a driver's level of impairment. However, some people would consume a tiny quantity of cannabis and be blasted, yet a habitual user might have much more THC in their system and still be fine to drive. There are not enough studies and many of the roadside sobriety tests that are used are more than fifty years old. Each state handles it differently and there seem to be major flaws in all tests. It's shocking that you can be jailed because of a state sobriety test that is notably inaccurate and not even applicable to cannabis consumption.     

Noon:  The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to walk on the treadmill. It is blistering hot and a walk in the park will not be happening. 

1235pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched an episode of 'ALLEGEDLY' (Netflix)- A woman kills her 3 toddlers and then jumps out of a window in an unsuccessful suicide. She says it's postpartum and gets a retrial; more 'SOUTHLAND' (Netflix).

***I opened the downstairs PC and got a prompt for a 3 minute restart. I did and it hung up asking me to connect something. Nothing had been disconnected, so I fucked with it for a while and soon realized that I will have to call the computer guys. I thought it would be the upstairs PC that I'd be calling for backup,  but I'll have them do both PC's. 

I was stunned and watched a black podcaster reacting to Mark Normand's hair transplant, then more of 'JUST ONE LOOK' (Netflix). I shut it down 30 minutes into episode #5. The series features a particularly violent bad guy with a mustache. There's only about an hour left in the series and I could finish it tomorrow morning.
